Group Visits and Field Trips

The Pauli Murray Center is pleased to offer private group tours and field trips for book clubs, class field trips, family reunions, church groups, corporations, and other community organizations. Private tours are available for groups of 15 or more people with at least 2 weeks advanced notice. Reservations are subject to staff availability.

How it Works

  • Submit our request form here at least 2 weeks before your requested tour date

  • A member of our staff will reach out to you via email and share an invoice to finalize your reservation.

  • Deposits for private tours must be paid within 7 days of receipt

  • Please note that no tour confirmations will be offered over the phone

FAQ’s

How many people can you accommodate on a private tour?
We can accommodate between 15 - 35 adults for our fully guided private tours. If your group has between 36 - 100 adults, our team can welcome you to participate in a combination of indoor and outdoor activities to explore Pauli Murray’s childhood home.

What if I have fewer than 15 people in my group?
For smaller groups, we kindly ask that you purchase advanced tickets to one of our public tours or open Saturdays. Public tickets can be purchased here.

How long do private tours last?
Our guided tours last for 75-90 minutes, depending on how many questions your group members have for our guide. Please let us know if there are time constraints associated with your visit.

Are there particular days and times when group visits are offered?
Group visits are coordinated based on the availability of our space, your groups needs, and staff availability. Please note that we do not offer private group visits on Wednesdays between 10 AM - 1 PM or Saturdays between 9 AM - 2 PM due to public open hours.

How does pricing work for group visits?
Pricing for private group visits varies based on the type of organization that is visiting. For most visitors, our standard $20 per person ticket price applys ($300 group minimum). We offer specialized pricing for K - University groups, in order to ensure that young people have access to our space. If your group is in need of financial assistance, please share your specific needs in the group visit request form.
